The intelligence layer
How DentalCensus turns market signals into an intelligence model
DentalCensus is more than an open-data directory. We connect public evidence, our own derived views and dated change signals so commercial teams can ask better questions about where the dental market is going.
The model
From scattered signals to a commercial view
Most market questions are not answered by one field. They need intersections: which practices combine a service signal with the right technology, territory, network context and evidence of momentum?
See one model in practice →signals
Services, technology, ads, websites, networks, geography and demographics.
intersections
Derived views that connect dimensions into a question your team can act on.
snapshots
Cumulative history that adds change and momentum to a static market profile.
action
Prioritized territories, accounts, reports and workflows for commercial teams.
The workflow
Five layers of useful intelligence
01
Observe the market
We collect public directory, clinic-website, advertising-library and Census signals. Website-derived attributes are labeled as observed signals, with source and snapshot context.
02
Resolve one profile per practice
Signals are normalized into a practical market map: practices, locations, networks, services, technologies, marketing activity and geographic context can be viewed together.
03
Build the intelligence model
The useful layer is the intersection. Services × technology × marketing × geography can reveal commercial segments that a single directory field cannot show.
04
Add time and momentum
Rolling, incremental collection preserves dated snapshots. Review-growth velocity and visible changes help separate a static profile from a market that is moving.
05
Turn signals into action
Use the model to screen territories, prioritize accounts, compare markets, shape outreach and create a repeatable commercial workflow for your team.
Built for a decision
Start with the commercial question
An intelligence model is useful when it changes what a team does next. Start with territory planning for implant manufacturers, market structure for DSOs, or a custom view that your team needs to build.
Frequently asked questions
Is DentalCensus just a list of dental practices?
No. A practice list is one input. DentalCensus combines practice, service, technology, marketing, network, territory and time-based signals into an intelligence model that can answer a commercial question.
Can we build a custom intelligence model?
Yes. The same foundation can support different customer views: an implant territory model, a DSO whitespace model, a market-screening model or another bounded intersection of available signals.
How fresh is the information?
Collection is rolling and incremental, with cumulative historical snapshots. Each published metric should be read with its snapshot date and methodology; a missing or unknown value is not treated as a negative finding.
Does a website signal prove that a clinic offers a service?
Not by itself. A website-derived flag means the clinic presents that signal publicly on its site. It is useful for screening and prioritization, but it is not a clinical verification or a guarantee of current availability.
